Meet your CPA.
Magnolia CPA is a one-CPA firm by design. Bianca M. Allen runs it the way she'd want her own family's CPA to run — careful, responsive, and genuinely interested in the work.
Twenty-five years across the table.
Both an accountant and a business manager/consultant.
Bianca is a University of Washington graduate with a Finance undergraduate degree and an MBA. Over twenty-five years she's worked as an Accounting Manager, a CFO, and a General Manager across businesses of varying sizes — so when she's looking at a set of books or a tax return, she sees both the numbers and the business behind them.
That dual perspective shapes the work at Magnolia CPA. A tax return for a small business owner isn't just a filing — it's a conversation about decisions she's made before. Audit work isn't a checklist — it's a careful read of the operating reality behind the financials.
Founded in Magnolia, on purpose.
Bianca relocated to Seattle's Magnolia neighborhood in 2002 and established Magnolia CPA to "have a work-life balance, stay off the congested streets of Seattle and the Eastside, and do something I loved with people in my own community."
The result is a small CPA firm by design. Clients work directly with the CPA, not through a layer of account managers. Calls get returned. Engagements stay scoped. The objective, in her own words: "to continue to build a successful CPA firm that strives for professionalism, quality, and responsiveness to clients."
Magnolia CPA also owns Bee's Bookkeeping next door at Suite 314, so day-to-day bookkeeping and CPA-level work coordinate cleanly under one ownership.
The household and the chickens
A Seattle native originally from Wallingford, Bianca raises her family in Magnolia: a seventh-grader, an Australian Shepherd, a Pug, doves, a chameleon, fish, and six backyard chickens — which, in her words, are an endless source of free advice. The chickens have so far declined to comment on tax policy.
